Steve owns a hotdog stand. He has found that sales of hot dogs average 47,000 hot dogs a year when the hot dogs sell for $2.50 each. For each 50 cent increase in the price, the number of hotdogs sold drop by 5000. What price per hot dog should Steve charge to realize the maximum revenue?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
f(x)= -10000x+72000 (x=cost of the hot dog and f(x) sales of hot dog)
so revenue is xf(x)=-10000x^2+72000x
is maximum when x= -72000/-20000=3,6
Answer $3.6 each hot dog
