You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x=number of cards that William had left
25% or 1/4 to Tom
1/6 to Hal
0.05 or 5/100 or 1/20 to Joe
Willam gave away 1/4 + 1/6 + 1/20 the LCM is 60, so:
15/60 + 10/60 + 3/60= 28/60=14/30=7/15 of his cards meaning he has 8/15 of his cards left, so our equation to solve is:
(8/15)*60=x
x=32 ----------------------The number of cards that William had left
CK
(1/4)*60+ (1/6)*60 (1/20)*60+32=60
15 + 10 + 3 + 32=60
60=60
