Question 135770: I would appreciate some help on these adding radical problems, but of course I don't have the square root sign on the computer, so I'll try to explain the best way I can.Thank you for your patients in advance.
1)3 then square root sign 45 + 7 then square root sign 20
2)3 then cubed in the square sign then 16 under the square sign + cubed then 54 under the square root sign.

I hope I explained these two questions where someone could understand them.
Thanks again LH

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1)3 then square root sign 45 + 7 then square root sign 20
3*sqrt(45)+7sqrt(20)
=3*3*sqrt(5) + 7*2*sqrt5
=9sqrt(5) + 14sqrt(5)
=23sqrt(5)
-----------------------
2)3 then cubed in the square sign then 16 under the square sign + cubed then 54 under the square root sign.
3*(16)^(1/3) + (54)^(1/3)
-----------------------
= 3*2*2^(1/3) + 3*2^(1/3)
= 6*2^(1/3) + 3*2^(1/3)
= 9*2^(1/3)
Or
=9*cuberoot of 2
--------------------
