You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2x+-+%282x%29%2F7+=+x%2F2+%2B+17%2F2
Multiply both sides by the LCD, in this case, 14.
%2814%29%282x+-+%282x%29%2F7%29+=+%2814%29%28x%2F2+%2B+17%2F2%29
Use the distributive property and reduce:
28x+-+4x+=+7x+%2B+119
Subtract 7x from both sides.
28x+-+4x+-+7x+=+7x+-+7x+%2B+119
Reduce.
17x+=+119
Divide both sides by 17.
17x%2F17+=+119%2F17
Reduce
x+=+7
Check:
2%287%29+-+%282%2A7%29%2F7+=+7%2F2+%2B+17%2F2
14+-+2+=+24%2F2
12=12
