Two angles are complementary if and only if the sum of their degree measures is 90 degrees. Two angles are supplementary if and only if the sum of their degree measures is 180 degrees.

Add 83 + 7. If it equals 90, the angles are complementary, if it equals 180, they are supplementary, otherwise neither.

I sincerely hope that is straightforward. I am quite certain it is correct.
