You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Mr. Taylor travels 600 miles from pittsburgh to chicago at a certain average speed. If the return trip takes 2 hours less time, what is his average speed from pittsburgh to chicago

SOMETHING IS MISSING FROM THIS PROBLEM. PLEASE RECHECK. THE WAY IT'S STATED, THERE'S MANY SOLUTIONS. BELOW ARE TWO:
Distance(d) equals Rate(r) times Time(t) or d=rt; r=d/t and t=d/r
Now lets say Mr. Taylor drove at the rate of 100 mph going to Chicago, then his time would be 600/100 or 6 hrs. By the same token, if he drove back at 150 mph his time back would be 600/150 or 4 hours---two hours less
Now if he drove to Chicago at the rate of 50 mph his time would be 600/50 or 12 hours and if he drove back at the rate of 60 mph, he would make it in 10 hours----two hours less

ETC, ETC
Hope this helps---ptaylor
