in the interval. The interval is always open to -inf or +inf.
[-inf, 5/3]
This should be (-inf,5/3] which is set-builder notation is {x|x <= (5/3)}

The graph consists of a solid circle at 5/3 and an arrow extending to
the left from 5/3.
