You can put this solution on YOUR website!
State the solution set in interval notation and sketch its graph.
#114
-3/8<= -1/4x + 1/8 < 5/8
Multiply thru by 8 to get:
-3 <= -2x+1 < 5
Subtract 1 along the line to get:
-4 <= -2x < 4
Divie thru by -2 to get:
-2 < x <= 2
-----------------
Draw a number line and mark the points -2 and 2
Draw an open circle at x=-2; Draw a solid circle at x=2
Draw a solid line segment connecting -2 and +2
That is the graph
