You can put this solution on YOUR website! got to get these worked out right. The other two I have got to have them worked out in the substitution method, elimination method and the graph. They are 2x+3y=5, 9y=15-6x and 2x-3y=-1, 3x-4y=5. I really need these worked out in all three methods. I have worked them over and over and keep getting different answers. Any help will be wonderful.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
2x+3y=5 & 9y=15-6x these 2 equations are the same thus no solution.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
2x-3y=-1 2x=3y-1 x=(3y-1)/2 now substitute (3y-1)/2 for x in the other equation.
3(3y-1)/2-4y=5
(9y-3)/2-4y=5
(9y-3+2*-4y)/2=5
9y-3-8y=10
y=10+3
y=13 answer.
x=(3*13-1)/2
x=(39-1)/2
x=38/2
x=19 answer.
--------------------------------------------------------
2x-3y=-1 multiply this equation by -3
multiply this equation by 2 3x-4y=5 & add them.
-6x+9y=3
6x-8y=10
-------------------------
y=13 answer.
2x-3*13=-1
2x-39=-1
2x=-1+39
2x=38
x=38/2
x=19 answer.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2x-3y=-1 or -3y=-2x-1 or 3y=2x+1 or y=2x/3+1/3 (red line)
3x-4y=5 or -4y=-3x+5 or y=-3x/-4+5/-4 or y=3x/4-5/4 (green line) (graph 300x200 pixels, x from -6 to 25, y from -10 to 15, of TWO functions 2x/3 +1/3 and 3x/4 -5/4).
