Take logarithms on both sides.
(x-1)log6 = (6-x)log2
xlog6+ xlog2 =log6 +6log2
x(log + log2) = log6*2^6
xlog(6*2) =log (6*2^6)
xlog12 = log(6*2^6)/log12 = log384 / log12 = 2.394714728
