Question 133703: Solve each equation by factoring.
8x=3x^2=5
My Work:
I moved the 8x over and came out with 3x^2-8x+5=0.My teacher taught me to use this box and i did and came up with (3x-5+5)=0+5 and (x-1+1)=0+1 and i divided and came up with x=5/3 and 1. PLEASE HELP I REALLY TRIED!!!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
8x=3x%5E2%2B5 Start with the given equation

0=3x%5E2%2B5-8x Subtract 8x from both sides.

0=3x%5E2-8x%2B5 Rearrange the terms

0=%283x-5%29%28x-1%29 Factor the right side (note: if you need help with factoring, check out this solver)

Now set each factor equal to zero:
3x-5=0 or x-1=0

x=5%2F3 or x=1 Now solve for x in each case

So our solutions are

x=5%2F3 or x=1
