divide 60 minutes by 19 miles, divide the answer by 60 seconds and you get 0.05. hope you understand.

If you are going 19 miles per hour, since there are 5280 feet in each mile, you must multiply 19 times 5280 to get 100,320 feet that you would travel in 1 hour. However, you are going for only 1 second. There are 60 seconds in 1 minute and 1 minute in an hour, so there are 3600 seconds in an hour. So if you are traveling for only 1 second, to find the distance you travel you'll have to divide by 3600. 100320%2F3600+=+27.8666... feet!!
