Find the perimeter of the regular polygon:
regular hexagon with sides 28.5 millimeters long.
A hexagon has 6 sides.
If each side is 28.5mm, then 6 sides times 28.5mm will give us the perimeter.
Let P = perimeter.
P = 6 times 28.5
P = 171mm
NOTE: You can also add 28.5mm SIX TIMES and still get the same perimeter.
Here it is:
P = 28.5mm + 28.5mm + 28.5mm + 28.5mm + 28.5mm + 28.5mm
P = 171mm
Either way, the answer is 171mm.
Of course, applying multiplication is FASTER!
