Question 133377: Find each positive angle in the interval [0(degrees),360(degrees)). Remember to find reference angle first. Round to two decimal places.
a.) If 2cot theta - 3=7, find family member of theta in Q2.
b.) If sec beta = -3, find family member of beta in Q4.
c.) csc alpha = 5.2, when sec alpha < 0 (there are two angles).

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find each positive angle in the interval [0(degrees),360(degrees)). Remember to find reference angle first. Round to two decimal places.
a.) If 2cot theta - 3=7, find family member of theta in Q2.
2cot(theta) = 10
cot(theta) = 5
tan(theta) = 1/5
theta = 11.309 (reference angle)
---------
Note: cot is not positive in the 2nd quadrant
----------
b.) If sec beta = -3, find family member of beta in Q4.
Note: secant is not negative in the 4th quadrant
---------------------
c.) csc alpha = 5.2, when sec alpha < 0 (there are two angles).
sin(alpha) = 1/5.2 = 0.1923...
alpha1 = 11.087... degrees (reference angle)
Other angle where sin(theta)= 1/5.2
alpha2 = 180-11.087= 168.9125...
