You can put this solution on YOUR website! You need to figure out first how far each animal would travel in one minute. To do this, divide each speed by 60 (because there are 60 minutes in 1 hour). Then, you get that the cheetah travels 1.17 miles in one minute. The greyhound would travel 0.65 miles in 1 minute. Then, subtract to get 0.52 miles. To get the answer in feet, simply multiply by 5280 (because there are 5280 feet in 1 mile) to get 2,745.6 feet.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! To determine the difference in the distances, subtract 70 mph - 39 mph = 31 mph. This means that in one hour the cheetah would travel 31 miles more than the greyhound. Next, change this to feet by multliplying times 5180 feet per mile, then divide by 60 to see how many feet this would be in 1 minute instead of 1 hour. The result is EXACTLY 2728 feet!!
