It's not clear exactly what the problem is. What is the denominator here is it:

+y=%28-1%2F2%29x-4 or y=-1%2F%282x-4%29 or maybe +y=-1%2F%282x%29-4

My guess is maybe the second choice above. Can you confirm by Email or repost the problem??
