Question 131906: I was doing fine on my homework in till I came to a couple of questions that I could not figure out, if you could help me I would really appreciate it.
Here is the problem x+2/2x^2+5x+2 [+] x-3/2x^2-5x-3
I think that if I could find the LCD for the denominators then I could figure out the rest of the problem. I do know that the answers has to be one of these...
A) 2/2x+1
B) 1/x+1
C) 1/2
D) 2/(x+2)(x-3)
I placed the + in [] just so that you could tell which fraction was which

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You need to factor the denominators.

Your first denominator is 2x%5E2%2B5x%2B2 which factors to %282x%2B1%29%28x%2B2%29

The second denominator is 2x%5E2-5x-3 which factors to %282x%2B1%29%28x-3%29

Now put it all back together:

Next get rid of the common factors in the numerator and denominator:

green%282%2F%282x%2B1%29%29. A, final answer Regis.
