You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First, put the term with the x on the other side:

4x+-+2y+=+12

4x+-+4x+-+2y+=+-4x+%2B+12
-2y=-4x%2B12

Now divide by the coefficient on y:

y=2x-6

Done.
