You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x=amount of Orange Thirst needed
Then 10-x=amount of Quencho needed
Now we know that the amount of pure orange juice in the Orange Thirst (0.15x) plus the amount of pure orange juice in the Quencho (0.05(10-x)) has to equal the amount of pure orange Juice in the final mixture (0.10*10). So our equation to solve is:
0.15x+0.05(10-x)=0.10*10 get rid of parens
0.15x+0.5-0.05x=1 subtract 0.5 from each side
0.15x+0.5-0.5-0.05x=1-0.5 collect like terms
0.1x=0.5 divide both sides by 0.1
x=5 liters----amount of Orange Thirst needed
10-x=10-5=5 liters-----------------------amount of Quencho needed
CK
0.15*5+0.05*5=0.10*10
0.75+0.25=1
1=1

Hope this helps---ptaylor
