Question 131316: I've been multiplying polynomials however, the solution that I come up with for the product of these three, doesnt match the answer I was given. Could you please rectify my solution. Thank you.
(2y+1)(y+z)(3y-1)=(2y^2+2yz+y+z)(3y-1)
=6y^3+6y^2z+3y^2+3yz-2y^2-2yz-y-z
=6y^3+6y^2z+y^2+yz-y-z
The solution I was given was 6y^3+13y^2+y-z, which is correct? Answer by solver91311(24713) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Your solution is correct (and the solution you were given is incorrect) for the problem AS STATED. Go back and make sure you have the problem stated correctly.
