NOW REPLACE Y WITH (4X+4) IN THE OTHER EQUATION & SOLVE FOR X.
3X+4(4X-4)=22
3X+16X-16=22
19X=22+16
19X=38
X=38/19
X=2 ANSWER.
Y=4*2-4
Y=8-4
Y=4 ANSWER.
PROOF
3*2+4*4-4=22
6+16=22
22=22
