log(5x+1)=log(2x+3)+log 2 This question is from textbook
You can put this solution on YOUR website! log(5x+1)=log(2x+3)+log2
log(5x+1)-log(2x+3)=log2
property of Logarithms =
Take antilog of both sides to cancel the log
(5x+1) = 2(2x+3)
5x + 1 = 4x +6
5x-4x = 6-1
x = 5
