Question 129819: I need help for this question
given one of the zeros of the polynomial, find the remaining zeros
4x4-8x3-x2+8x-3=0, x=-1

You can put this solution on YOUR website! given one of the zeros of the polynomial, find the remaining zeros
4x4-8x3-x2+8x-3=0, x=-1
--------------------------
The coefficients add up to zero so x=1 is also a zero.
Use synthetic division to find the other zeroes:
1)....4....-8....-1....8....-3
........4.....-4....-5...3..|..0
-1).......4.....-8.....3..|..0
So x=1, and x=-1 are zeros.
The Quotient now is 4x^2-8x+3
which factors as (2x-1)(2x-3)
So the remaining zeros are x= 1/2 and x=3/2
