6-2t=3(2t+4)
Distribute: 6-2t=6t+12
Add 2t to both sides: 6=6t+2t+12, or 6=8t+12
subtract 12 from both sides: 6-12=8t, or -6=8t
divide both sides by 8: -6/8=8t/8, or -3/4=t
This is the same as t=-3/4.
