You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Let x=part of job that will be done with all three working together for 6 days
Worker #1 works at the rate of 1/18 of the job per day or 6/18 of the job in 6 days
Worker #2 works at the rate of 1/24 of the job per day or 6/24 of the job in 6 days
Worker #3 works at the rate of 1/30 of the job per day or 6/30 of the job in 6 days

So together they do:
6/18+6/24+6/30 of the job in 6 days and this equals:
1/3+1/4+1/5 =20/60+15/60+12/60 =x=
47/60 of the job in 6 days

Hope this helps---ptaylor
