Question 128914: A worker can do a work in 18 days . An oher worker can do the same work but in 24 days ,and another in 30 days . If the 3 workers work 6 days altogether what part of the work will be done ? Answer by oscargut(2103) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! The first worker in 6 days does 6/18 =1/3 of the work
The second worker in 6 days does 6/24 =1/4 of the work
The third worker in 6 days does 6/30 =1/5 of the work
so altogether can do 1/3+1/4+1/5 of the work
note that 1/3+1/4+1/5 = (20+15+12)/60 = 27/60 = 9/20
R: 9/20 of the work
