You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(5/7)X=(3/5)(920-X)
5X/7=(2760-3X)/5 CROSS MULTIPLY.
5*5X=7(2760-3X)
25X=19320-21X
25X+21X=19320
46X=19320
X=19320/46
X=420 ANSWER FOR THE AMOUNT FOR THE FIRST STUDENT.
920-420=500 FOR THE SECOND STUDENT.
PROOF:
5*420/7=3*500/5
2100/7=1500/5
300=300
