You can put this solution on YOUR website!
To find the axis of symmetry, use this formula:

x=-b%2F%282a%29

From the equation y=-x%5E2-10x%2B7 we can see that a=-1 and b=-10

x=%28--10%29%2F%282%2A-1%29 Plug in b=-10 and a=-1

x=10%2F%282%2A-1%29 Negate -10 to get 10

x=%2810%29%2F-2 Multiply 2 and -1 to get -2

x=-5 Reduce

So the axis of symmetry is x=-5
