An odd integer can be represented as 2n+%2B+1 where
n = 9,1,2,3 etc.
An even integer is represented as 2n
where n=0,1,2,3 etc.
Adding them,
2n+%2B+1+%2B+2n+=+4n+%2B+1
This has to be odd also, since 4n is always even
