You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve the second equation for y:
3x%2B6y=2

6y=-3x%2B2

y=-x%2F2%2B2%2F6

Both lines have the same slope, so they are either parallel and there are zero elements in the solution set for this system, or they are the same line and there are an infinite number of elements in the solution set. Since the two lines have different y-intercepts, they cannot be the same line. Therefore the lines are parallel and there are zero solutions.
