Question 126308: Create your own number game using the rules of algebra and post it for your classmates to solve. Be sure to think about values that may not work. State whether your number game uses the skill of simplifying rational expressions.
You can put this solution on YOUR website! I came up with this idea:
You can always know what exactly reminder is.
This is a game:
You ask a person to think about any number, then you say that a person gives him/her the number. A person need to add these numbers. Then you say to a person :"I will give you 44." (for example, it could be any number). A Person should add that number to the sum of previous two numbers.
After the person got a sum of all three numbers, you ask him/her to throw away half of it, and to give back to person what he/she gave to a person . Then you say to a person that he/she has reminder .
If you look closely to this example, you will see that you gave a person and reminder is half of it.
Acctualy, reminder is always half of what you give to a person .
or
if a person thinks about number , we will have:
.......... a number that person thinks about
.......... also a number that person gives to a person ..........you gave to a person
a person add them all:
then throw away of it, and we will have
give back what person gave
...........reminder
As you can see, it is NOT important what number a person is thinking about; only important thing is what you gave and reminder will always be half of it.
