You can put this solution on YOUR website!
When a straight line equation is in the form y+=+mx+%2B+b
the slope of the line is m, so the 1st step is to get the
equation in that form
+x+-+2y+%2B+7+=+0
2y+=+x+%2B+7
y+=+%281%2F2%29x+%2B+%287%2F2%29
The slope is 1%2F2
Any line parallel to this line will also have m+=+1%2F2
I'll start with y+=+mx+%2B+b I know what m is
y+=+%281%2F2%29x+%2B+b
This line goes through (-4,0), so I'll plug this into equation
0+=+%281%2F2%29%2A%28-4%29+%2B+b
0+=+-2+%2B+b
b+=+2
Now I know m and b
y+=+%281%2F2%29x+%2B+2 answer
