You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(7x-3):(4x-12)=5:2
2(7x-3)=5(4x-12)
14x-6=20x-60
14x-20x=-60+6
-6x=-54
x=-54/-6
x=9 this is the multiplier.
proof.
7*9:4*9=63:36 original number of girls:boys.
(63-3):(36-12)=5:2
60:24 this says 60 girls & 24 boys attended practice.
60/24=5/2
5/2=5/2
