You can put this solution on YOUR website!
squareroot x^2-6x+9 > 1
--------------
(x-3)^2 >1
(x-3)^2-1 > 0
Factor:
[x-3-1][x-3+1]>0
[x-4][x-2] >0
Draw a number line and plot the points x=4 and x=2
Check each interval to see where the solutions lie:
If x = 0 you get (-4)*(-2)>0 which is true
If x = 3 you get (-1)*(1)> 0 which is false
If x = 10 you get (6)*(8)>0 which is true
----------------
So the intervals (-inf,2) and (4,+inf) are the solution set.
