2x = number of quarters
2(2x) = 4x = number of dimes
3(4x) = 12x = number of nickels
Total value, multiply number of coins times the value of each coin in cents, and the total value of the coins is $10 or 1000 cents. (Doesn't it make "cents" to do it this way??)
