Question 125010: Hello I have a question regarding cot 3pi/2. I am suppose to graph it in the rectangular coordinate system. I understand the answer is 0 but what I am wondering is can I actually draw a triangle? Wouldn't it just be a point at (0,-1)? My teacher is looking for reference triangles but I don't know how I could draw one with this point. Thanks.

When I try to visualize something like cot%28%283%2Api%29%2F2%29,
I don't think of it as a line. I see it (and also draw it)
as a triangle which is tilted just slightly away from the
vertical. I regard the zero as the limit of the adjacent
side over the opposite side. It may take practice to draw
skinny triangles, but I think the limit is a better thinking
tool than the straight line.
