We can write it:
(a^4 - b^4)
:
Recognize this as the "difference of squares"; factors to:
(a^2 + b^2) (a^2 - b^2)
:
(a^2 - b^2) is also the difference of squares and factors to:
(a + b)(a - b)
:
So you have (a^2 + b^2)(a - b)(a + b)
