It involves a combination of the four basic operators - plus, minus, times, divide plus raising x to various powers (in this case to the power of one and the power of 2 (squared)) It doesn't involve any other functions like sins, cosines, logs or anything like that.. so .. I'd say it was a polynomial - TRUE.
