Question 124026: I have a castle Length is 19ft width is 18ft. Across the top are parapets whose L=3 and W=2. There are 4 of them. On the bottom is a door. The L=4 and W=6. I took the 4 parapets and got their total area as 36ft. The base of the castle is 288ft. The area of the door is 24ft. Now how I got the bases area is by subtracting the 3ft of the end parapet to get a L of 16ft. So it goes like this BASE 16ftX18ft=288ft. Parapets 9ftX 4=36ft. DOOR 4ft X 6ft=24ft.
So. Base + Parapets - Door = 300sqft. Is this right? Answer by amal(1) (Show Source):
