You can put this solution on YOUR website!
X-3Y=6
-3Y=-X+6
Y=-X/-3+6/-3
Y=X/3-2 THIS LINE HAS A Y INTERCEPT=-2. (RED LINE)
NOW REPLACE THE X & Y VALUES IN THE STANDARD LINE EQUATION (Y=mX+b) WITH (5,-1).
5=m*-1-2
5=-m-2
m=-2-5
m=7
THUS WE HAVE THE EQUATION
Y=7X-2 (GREEN LINE)
