Question 12395: I need this answer very quickly please.
One day I called two friends and invited them to a party. The next day, each of my two friends called and invited two more friends to the party. The next day, each of the people who had been invited thus far called and invited two more friends to the party. If this went on for fifteen days, how many people were actually called and invited to the party on the fifteenth day?END
I also need to know the formula/nth term/general term. I think those are all the same thing. I think the number of people on the number on the 15th day is either 32,768 people or 65,535 people. Please tell me which one and the formula to get from the day to people.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! You are right, the answer is 37,768. The nth term is . means that you take 2 to the n power. For example, if the term number is 1, then you would do , which is 2. If the term number is 10, you do , which is 2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2 = 1,024. Since you want the answer for the fifteenth day, you will do , which is 2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2=37,768. Hopes this help to clear things up!
