This just means that you substitute 0 for x in the equation
:
f(x) = x^2 + 3x – 3,
find f(0), substitute 0 for x in the above equation
f(0) = 0^2 + 3(0) - 3
f(0) = 0 + 0 - 3
obviously
f(0) = - 3
