19X-18X=-9+20+4
X=15 ANSWER.
PROOF
-9+20=19*15-4-18*15
11=285-4-270
11=11

The biggest thing to know about an equation
is this: "Anything you do to one side, you must do to the other side."
I'm going to add 4 to both sides.
Another way to look at it is I'm adding this equation: 4+=+4
to the one I've got
-9+%2B+20+%2B+4+=+19x+%2B+4+-+4+-+18x
On the right side I have 4+-+4 which equals 0
-+9+%2B+24+=+19x+-+18x
Do the operation on the left
15+=+19x+-+18x
Do the operation on the right
15+=+x answer
