Question 123259: 1. Graph the given function and show your work:
f(x)=-2x-5
I'm confused on this one, because I thought I could just graph it and am wondering what work I am supposed to show. I looks to me like this is ready for graphing.
2. If f(x)=4x-3, find f(-1) Show your work
3. If f(x)=5x-1, find f(a-2) Show your work
Thanks for your help!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1. Graph the given function and show your work:
f(x)=-2x-5
Find two points and draw a line thru them:
If x=0,y=-5
If x=1,y=-7
Draw a line thru (0,-5),(1,-7)

I'm confused on this one, because I thought I could just graph it and am wondering what work I am supposed to show. I looks to me like this is ready for graphing.
2. If f(x)=4x-3, find f(-1) Show your work
f(-1) = 4*-1 -3 = -4-3=-7

3. If f(x)=5x-1, find f(a-2) Show your work
f(a-2) = 5(a-2)-1
=5a-10-1
=5a-11
