Question 123249: Please assist me with this problem. All I need is the formula I can work the problem. Thanks
For the home described in excercise 15 (A homeowners would like to insulate her attic. The insulation comes in 40cm rolls that are cut to fit between the rafters. If the roof is 6m from peak to eave and the attic is 2m high at the peak. How long does each piece of insulation need to be?)if the roof is 7m from peak to eave and the attic space is 3m at the peak, how long does each piece of insulation need to be? Round to the nearest 10th.

---------------
Use Pythagoras:

Solve for "x".
