SOLUTION: I'm stumped. I'm told there are two answers for the following: |2r-7| + 4 = 11. Depending on how I work it, I've gotten r=0, r=11, r=11/2. How do I work this one? Thanks! R.Cossel

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

|2r - 7| + 4 = 11

Add -4 to both sides

|2r - 7| = 7 So,

2r - 7 = 7 or
2r - 7 = -7

If 2r - 7 = 7
2r = 14
r = 7

If 2r - 7 = -7
2r = 0
r = 0
