You can put this solution on YOUR website! Mulder leaves Washington at 8:30 a.m.
speed 65 mph.
Scully, leaves at 9:00 a.m.,
sped 68 mph.
at 900 am
Mulder has travelled for 30 min (900 am -8:30 am)
Mulder's speed = 65 mph
At start distance betwen them=65*(30/60)=32.5 miles
Appraoch velocity of Scully =speed of Scully - speed of Mulder=68-65=3 mph
To cover 32.5 miles Scully needs 32.5/3 hours
=32.5/3=10+(2.5/3)=10+25/30=10+(5/6)=10h+50 minutes
Scully's start time=9 amm
add 10 hours and 50 min to 9am=9+10 plus 50 min
19+50 min
=7:50 pm
okay
