Question 122738: If a park adds 0.5gm of chlorine per cubic foot of water to thier swimming pools to ensure the safety of the swimmer, how much chlorine should be added into the swiming pool that measures 30 ft by 6 ft?

Also what is the cost of the chlorinated pool if the chlorine is sold at $10.50 per kg.

Thank you very much

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
30*6=180 ft^3 is the amount of water in the pool.
180*.5=90 gm of chlorine is needed.
(10.50*90)/1000=$.95 is the cost of the chlorine.
