Question 122527: I'm having a hard time figuring out the answer to this problem, and even figuring out the correct set up for the equation. Thanks for any help provided!
One number is eleven more than twice another. If their sum is decreased by ten, the result is thirteen. Find the numbers.
this is what i know
one number is x
one number is elven more x+11
twice another 2x
sum decreased by ten is thirteen x-10=13
