You can either multiply the 1st one by 2 or the 2nd one by 3 and
then subtract them. Take your choice. I'll do one of them
3x+-+4y+=+8
6x+-+8y+=+16
Now subtract the 2nd from 1st
6x+-+8y+=+16
-6x+%2B+2y+=+-10

-6y+=+6
y+=+-1 answer
Now substitute this answer into either 1st or 2nd
